Day 181: New Foods

Since Kennedy has been 7 months, she's been pretty much eating whatever we eat.  We are constantly giving her new things and trying everything under the sun.  She is not a picky eater by any means, so feeding her is so easy!  Today we tried canned spaghetti with meatballs and she LOVED it!  But, it was quite a mess!!

Day 180: Feeding Elliott

Kennedy has loved playing in the pantry since her days at the babysitters, but now she is all about getting the dog biscuits out and giving them to Elliott, so if I leave the door open to get things out for dinner, she quickly gets over there and before I know it, she has given Elliott MANY bones!!He, of course, has this figured out!  I can't help but chuckle!

Day 179: First Drive-In Movie

Thursday night we went to Stephen City, VA to watch Brave at the Drive-In Movie theater. Noah and Sydney have been here several times, but this was Kennedy's first time at the movies.  We thought it would be perfect because she could crawl around and move about and wouldn't interrupt people and we could enjoy a movie together.  However, this was wonderful until about 1/2 way through the movie.  She was fussing and screaming at us for making her stay near the blanket.  It will be awhile before she goes back to a movie..outside or inside! HA!  But we did have a good time together :) I also added a picture of her from that morning helping me pump up the tires in Sydney's bike. She loved spinning the tires around and around!

Day 178: Swinging and Sliding

Kennedy loves LOVES swinging and now she LOVES her slide that our friend, Amy, gave us.  She has learned to climb up and go down all by herself!

Day 177: Cute like that

Kennedy loves eating up at the bar with her brother and sister. She tries to grab their food and drinks for herself!  She was yelling at me in this picture because she wanted down.  ....gosh this kid is adorable...

Day 176: Delgrosso Amusement Park

I can't even say this is Kennedy's first trip, because she was here last year!  However, this year she actually got to enjoy rides and have a good time!  We went with friends and it was such a wonderful time!  The day was beautiful and the weather was perfect.  I couldn't have asked for a better day! Kennedy got to ride the train and carousal along with enjoying the slide and water at the water park.  She got to play with her little boyfriend, Sawyer, in the nursing station.  She couldn't keep her lips off him ;)

Day 175: First time on the Trampoline

Today is Mommy and Daddy's 12 year anniversary!  What better way to celebrate than to jump with friends on the trampoline??  This was Kennedy's first time on it and she loved it! She giggled and giggled!

Day 174: Visit with Family

We spent the afternoon with our family today.  The kids enjoyed the pool while the adults relaxed.  Yes...we jumped in the pool too! Its still super hot outside, so we welcomed the pool!  Kennedy enjoyed spending time with her Mimi and cousin.  We are blessed!

Day 173: Berry Picking

In the morning, we headed to Orr's Farm Market to pick black raspberries.  It was SO hot and Sydney complained most of the way.  Kennedy rode in her stroller and enjoyed the berries!  This is a memory I have had as a child with my grandfather and wanted to share it with her.  Syd and Noah have been doing it with us for a few years, so now Kennedy has become a part of that!

Day 172: That Binky!

Kennedy still continues to use her binky.  She doesn't have to have it in her mouth quite as much as her sister needed it but we still have it for fussy times and to fall asleep.  Miss K looks adorable! Especially with that thing in her mouth :)

Day 171: Gorgeous Darling, Gorgeous!

A friend, Rachel, got Kennedy these sunglasses before she was even born.  We have been trying to put them on her but she keeps pulling them off.  I quickly stuck them on and snapped a picture because she looks absolutely adorable in them...but the moment didn't last long....

Day 170: Pictures for Invitations

It was such a beautiful day outside, so I took Kennedy outside for a photo shoot.  She is so easy because its always so natural with her.  She is a beauty!

Day 169: Crazy Hair

We took out Kennedy's piggy and this is what her hair looked like! Sydney and I laughed so hard.

Day 168: Father's Day

Since Kennedy was feeling better, we headed to PA to visit with my Dad and Pap for Father's Day.  However, on the way, Sydney started to run a fever and complain that her belly hurt.  As soon as she laid down on Mimi's couch, she started vomiting.  Noah then started a fever right after with a belly ache, but never vomited (thank goodness). Whatever Kennedy had was being passed on to her siblings.  What we thought was strep....so our trip didn't last long.  We headed home and took them to the MedExpress where they diagnosed them with strep.   Even though the kids got sick, Kennedy had a nice time visiting with her Mimi!

Day 167: Glad to be home...

We made  it home around lunch time today from Myrtle.  We stopped at MedExpress and had Kennedy checked out.  They diagnosed her with strep, but I wasn't comfortable with it. I still think it was Hand, Foot, and Mouth...but who knows.  She spent most of the afternoon sleeping and resting.  She was really starting to feel better.

Day 166: Last day at the beach...

Today was our last day at the beach.  Kennedy has been running a high grade fever, drooling a lot, and having difficulty swallowing.  We didn't take her down on the beach today, so Shane and I rotated with Syd and Noah so they got to play.  Kennedy slept most of the day.  

Day 165: Loving the ocean

Kennedy watches her "big" cousin and everything she does.  Hopefully from watching her she will figure out this walking thing!  Kennedy wasn't feeling herself today.  We stayed as long as she could tolerate the beach, but she did love the ocean today.  She has become so comfortable with the water and sand! Thanks Aunt Ashley for the picture!

Day 164: Back to the Beach

After a much needed day in from the beach since the kids were worn out and the adults were burnt, we headed back to the beach on Wednesday.  Kennedy has become quite the little beach bum, now even napping on the beach with her cousin, Adrian.  What we didn't know was that Kennedy was napping because she was getting sick. She couldn't nap on the beach without her binky and her blankey!   But she rested and still enjoyed the beach.  She even watched her big sister dig holes and tried digging one herself.  It was so fun watching her learn from her big brother and and sister. She wanted to do whatever they did.

Day 163: Bananas taste better at the beach

Miss K loves her bananas.  She didn't when she first started eating solids...not the fresh kind, not the baby food kind, not mashed, not mixed with other fruit, not in muffins, not at all....till awhile ago she has become quite the fan.  So much the fan that when she sees them, she says, "uh uh uh uh" and stretches her arms as far as she can to reach them.  She can't get enough.  So on this rainy day at the beach, we enjoyed eating bananas, playing with each other, and going shopping!

Day 162: Hanging Poolside with her Cuz

We bought a cheap blowup pool which was perfect for the babies to stay cool and entertained on the beach. They really enjoyed it...alone...not together :) When in together they tormented each other and couldn't keep their hands off each other. These two girls are spunky and sassy! I just love them and love how they are growing up so close already!

Day 161: Discovering Sand

Day 2 at the beach and Kennedy took her time really getting to know the sand. Yesterday she ate it and today she tried to pick it up. She is loving the beach and has shown that she truly belongs in this beach loving family :) PS: Holes make great babysitters! Well for the 2 mins she could stand it :)
